GENERAL INFORMATION

Personal Choice Independent Living takes you seriously. We are committed to providing total quality services based on a mutually negotiated and consumer-driven contract. You understand your own needs and your own capacities better than anyone else; and you have the right to the dignity of risk.

Our three residential environments are available to people who are:

• Over 16 years of age; and
• Dealing with a permanent physical challenge requiring services support within our ability to meet.

The only other requirement is an Ontario Health card (OHIP card). We do not demand medical records as a mandatory requirement.

The operational costs (staffing, offices) are covered by funding from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term care. Clients are responsible for rent (subsidized or market) and all regular costs of community living – phone, groceries, cable, etc.
